Sixth Street Eats
Downtown Lethbridge has a growing community of restauranteurs, local chefs pouring their heart into the food they make sure your every craving can be satisfied. But the highest concentration of local restaurants seems to be on 6th Street, and each chef is bringing something different to the table.
Chef Stella is the taste of home you’ve been searching for. Everything in the restaurant is made fresh, sit down at any time to enjoy your made to order meal. Or hop in the express lane for the busy body who needs to grab and go but still wants something fresh. Grab the soup of the day or a fresh salad and get right back to business.
We stopped in not long ago and the banana cream pie is definitely something you want to check out. It was incredible. And the perfect treat on a hot summer day.
Pop across the street for the newest addition to the block, Stoketown Café + Cure. Stoketown has two staple sandwiches on the menu, porchetta and fried chicken, the others rotate from one week to the next to keep it fresh. Their mouthwatering sandwiches and friendly atmosphere are exactly what you need in a lunch spot!
Sixth street is also home to a Canadian classic done right at Piggyback Poutinerie. The family owned restaurant serves authentic Quebec style poutine. You can’t go wrong with the classic but they’re also known to mix it up in an explosion of flavours that won’t disappoint.
Then, there’s the Telegraph Taphouse, Lethbridge’s first and original craft beer house with over 32
craft brews on tap and one of the best breakfasts around to get you up and at it. If breakfast isn’t
your thing, they have many other incredible dishes, and some top notch pizza for whatever your heart
If you’re looking for an afternoon dose of fancy, check out Plum for their lunch menu. Lunch is
relatively new to Plum in the last couple years after a change in ownership, but the eats are as good
as they’ve always been, there’s just more of them. The menu rotates every quarter to keep things
fresh but your staples are always there, they’re just changing.
Whether you lean more to the breakfast or lunch end of brunch, there’s something for you and it’s
going to be delicious. Fill up on a heavenly burger or ask about their vegan options, but one thing is
for sure – you won’t leave hungry!
And if none of this tickles your fancy, Pita Pit on the corner of 6th Street and 4th Ave never fails to
make a perfect pita, just the way you like it!
This definitely isn’t a complete list of good eats in Downtown Lethbridge, stop in one day and
explore the downtown area and see about trying something new. The local restaurants know what
they’re doing and they make #DeliciousDiscoveries a whole lot easier and accessible.
