Instagram Take Over
What happens when you get a country singer/songwriter to take over your Instagram account to promote his hometown?
You get beautifully written stories about every place he visits, and a song to go with each one.
Or that’s what happened when Trevor Panczak took over our account, anyways. While a picture is worth a thousand words, the stories fill in the rest of the blanks and help bring a deeper understanding to these places. Here's Trevor's stories.
The prestige and history of the past citizens of Lethbridge and the surrounding area leave some pretty big shoes, or boots, to fill. Artists and community contributors like myself are doing the best we can to honour those who came before us. Major gratitude to The Galt museum for keeping the history and stories of our community builders alive and well.

New West Theatre
The Yates Theatre is one of the Crown Jewels of Lethbridge. I have so many great memories here. Performing at the Care from the Heart Telethon as a kid, attending the always entertaining New West Theatre productions, to headlining shows of my own. When I was starting out, and because of my Dad's belief in me as a singer/songwriter, he organized concerts here that allowed me to perform in front of audiences close to 500 people. Because of Johnny Panczak and his belief in the arts, The Yates Memorial Theatre will always be one of my favourite venues.

the surrounding area, but it is also a live music venue. Formerely a church,
the acoustics in this building are amazing. You just about don't need a PA
system to perform here. I can't write about the Gem without mentioning Duncan
Lloyd who, along with the Gem of the West Committee, has had us perform here
numerous times throughout the years for concerts and fundraisers. He also used
to let us use the room as a rehearsal space for the band. When you enter the
building you will always feel welcome. Take it in sometime, you won't be
