Family Fun in Lethbridge
Between the fascinating history, natural beauty and vibrant arts scene, it’s easy to keep a family busy in the city of Lethbridge! Whether your family likes to play and learn indoors or get out and run around outside, there are enough to keep active families busy day after day. Let the kids blow off some steam by taking a stroll through the river valley at Helen Schuler Nature Centre or excite their senses having them hold their pet snake, Sophie! Create a memory keepsake with the “Family Art Challenge” at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery which offers an interactive activity that you can do together. A great way for families to explore Lethbridge’s western history and still hold the interest of younger kids is at Fort Whoop Up. The open air centre is inhabited by friendly goat and miniature horses that will bring out everyone’s inner child. Pop into the wonder that is Gem of the West Museum, to get a glimpse at the rich history of Coaldale. If you are visiting in September, partake in the Word on the Street Festival at the Lethbridge Public Library, a free event celebrated nationally in five cities across Canada honoring the joy of words – written, sung, spoken and read.
