The sweeping landscapes of Southwest Alberta are the result of millions of years of geological action. In Southwest Alberta, all roads lead to Lethbridge, the Province’s fourth largest city. The city was settled after 1870 when coal deposits were discovered in the river valley and the first coal mine was established by Sir Alexander Galt. Today, Lethbridge is a vibrant young city and commercial centre. With a multitude of attractions for visitors it’s the ideal jumping off point for all your adventures in Southwest Alberta.
