The Municipal District of Pincher Creek No. 9 welcomes you to our Municipality. We are the most southwesterly municipality in the Province of Alberta. Farming and ranching, as well as oil and gas and wind energy activities are integral to the Municipal District’s economy.

Our close proximity to the Rocky Mountains and pristine lakes and a mild climate makes our M.D. a preferred destination. There is an abundance of wildlife, as well as plenty of camping, hunting and fishing areas, including world-class fishing in the Crowsnest River.

We also have exceptional areas for snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. The Oldman River Dam is an excellent recreation facility, as well as Castle Mountain Ski Resort.
